The 2019 Buzz Rankings were compiled based on each brand’s Buzz score, which asks respondents, “If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”, within a given market. All scores are based on data from the 12 month period from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
To determine the global top 25, YouGov scored brands across 30 markets by assigning each brand a value based on its placement in each market’s top 10 list. The first brand on any given list received 10 points while the tenth brand received one point. The brands with the most points overall form the global top 25.
Only markets with more than three sectors tracked were included in the global top 25, and all brands have been tracked for at least 6 months to be included.
