Welcome to YouGov’s inaugural global brand health rankings.

Tech brands dominate our international list with Google, YouTube and Facebook taking the top three places and Samsung, WhatsApp, Apple iPhone and Amazon following close behind. The other places in the top ten are taken by Toyota, Adidas and Colgate – three brands with longer roots but which also have broad utility at their core. Top Index Rankings
2017 Global Index Rankings

These brands were rated using YouGov BrandIndex’s Index score which is a measure of overall brand health calculated by taking the average of Impression, Quality, Value, Satisfaction, Recommend and Reputation. The global top 10 was decided based off of how many country top 10 lists the brand appeared on as noted in the right hand column.

The Index Rankings chart shows the brands with the highest average Index scores between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. The Index Improvers chart ranks the brands with the highest increase in Index comparing scores from the previous year. Both scores are representative of the general population.

All Index scores listed have been rounded to a single decimal place, however, we have used additional precision to assign ranks.
