Insurance - 2011 US Buzz Rankings
Three of the top five Buzz scores amongst Insurance brands are property and casualty brands, with Aflac and AAA rounding out the top five. State Farm is the Insurance leader, but has only a narrow lead over number two brand AAA.
The insurance sector has experienced a lot of Buzz growth in 2011, with each of the top five movers improving scores by at least 2.4 points. United Healthcare and Farmers Insurance group make the two largest improvements in the sector, and both were also amongst the top 10 improvers overall. Despite significant gains by each of the top five movers, they all still trail the top five insurance brands by a substantial margin.
These brands were rated using YouGov BrandIndex’s Buzz score which asks respondents, "If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?"
The Buzz Rankings chart shows the brands with the highest average Buzz scores between January and December 2011. The Buzz Improvers chart ranks the brands with the highest increase in Buzz between Jan-Dec 2011 and the same period in 2010. Both scores are representative of the general population.
All Buzz scores listed have been rounded to a single decimal place, however, we have used additional precision to assign ranks.
