Welcome to YouGov’s BrandIndex Rankings for the first half of 2013. The Rankings compare BrandIndex Buzz scores for over 550 brands in Germany, to reveal the brands with the most positive noise in the first six months of the year.
All of the brands were rated using YouGov BrandIndex’s Buzz score. Each day, BrandIndex interviews 2000 nationally representative respondents and asks them their views about brands. Buzz scores are worked out by asking if respondents have heard anything positive or negative about a brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news, word-of-mouth or friends and family. Buzz scores measure recent brand sentiment and also indicate the direction of recent awareness.
These brands were rated using YouGov BrandIndex’s Buzz score which asks respondents, "If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?"
The Buzz Rankings chart shows the brands with the highest average Buzz scores between January and June 2013. The Buzz improvers chart ranks the brands with the highest increase in Buzz between January - June 2013 and the same period in 2012.
All Buzz scores listed have been rounded to a single decimal place, however, we have used additional precision to assign ranks.
