Technology brands made a strong showing in this year’s list, with Samsung, Google and YouTube appearing in the top ten lists for multiple countries.
Samsung appeared most frequently, emerging in the top ten lists for ten of the fifteen countries tracked. The telecoms giant attained top three position in: Saudi Arabia, China, Germany, France, the UK and UAE.
Homegrown brands, although many with a global footprint, made a strong showing on local country lists. Twelve of the fifteen top ranked brands were all locally owned companies. Only the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and Brazil renounced their number one slots to foreign-owned brands.
