All brands that are continuously measured in Turkish BrandIndex are ranked by their monthly averages of index scores.
Research findings demonstrate that top brands have stable graphs. Consumers’ perception regarding these bluechip brands do not fluctuate even in worsened economical conjuncture. On the contrary, consumers tend to rely more on these brands in the situations mentioned above.
The graph below illustrates the top 3 brands in Turkey. These are, Nokia, Ipana and Arçelik, which are the leading brand performers in their respective sectors.
Firstly, Nokia, which currently holds approximately 40% market share globally, is also the leader in mobile communications in Turkey. The Index score of Nokia is 90% according to BrandIndex findings since January 2007.
Ipana, the toothpaste owned by P&G, is the runner-up in BrandIndex Turkey. The toothpaste sector has a high brand loyalty for consumers, and Ipana is the leading toothpaste. The brand follows Nokia with 77%. The rise started in February 2008, continued with a clash with Nokia on February 23rd, and it seems to sustain its performance for leadership.
Arçelik, Turkey's leading household appliance manufacturer and amongst the top players in the European market for white goods, is a subsidiary of the Koç Group. Today, Arçelik is the leader in its sector with its high-technology and after sales service quality. Arçelik outpaced all world-renowned brands in BrandIndex Turkey and has a stable graph fluctuation of around 75%.
