If you’re stuck on a Father’s Day gift, please turn your attention to tractors. The hottest brand in the eyes of American fathers is John Deere, according to YouGov BrandIndex.
For the holiday, YouGov BrandIndex averaged all their consumer perception data from fathers since January 1st to determine which ones have gained the most in Buzz score.
While tractors can be expensive, a lawn mower may do the trick, since Toro came in at #17.
If food is the way to a man’s heart, you can’t go wrong with the following restaurants—predominantly casual dining—which scored high from U.S. dads. Krispy Kreme came in close behind John Deere to take second place, followed by Red Lobster (#3), LongHorn SteakHouse (#5), and Denny’s (#9).
Not surprisingly, four beers brands made big strides with fathers since the beginning of the year—Dos Equis (#8), Heineken (#12), Coors (#13), and Guinness (#14)—as well as Mike’s Hard Lemonade (#16).
Other notable brands that were the only ones in their category to land on the ranking include Staples (#4), Hotwire.com (#6), Enterprise (#10), Firestone (#11), Crocs (#15), Buick (#18), Nike (#19) and TD Ameritrade (#20).
These brands were measured using YouGov BrandIndex’s Buzz score” which asks respondents: “If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”
