For the second year running Southwest and JetBlue have top Value Scores in the airline category for this top travel season. Yet again the two airlines have considerably higher scores than their number three, which this year is Alaska Air up from number 4 in 2011 and one of this year's top Value Improvers.
Last year Virgin Atlantic and Virgin America made it into the top 5 but have been replaced in 2012 by British Airways and Lufthansa.
Top Value Improver is Delta which has moved up from -4 points in 2011 to 1.8.
The top airlines were measured with YouGov BrandIndex’s Value score, which asks respondents: "Does it give good value for what you pay?" Results were filtered for respondents age 18 and over.
