Disneyland/Disney World top our list of Buzz improvers for the month of July. The beloved theme-parks are seasonal favorites, Buzz perennially rising during the summer, as consumers decide to say “I’m going to Disneyland (or Disney World)!” to question of where to go for vacation. In second is car-company Lincoln, which was helped by owner Ford’s promise to revamp the luxury line to match and surpass current leaders Lexus and BMW.

Third place Syfy has been basking in the launch of its summer season, with two favorites and a much hyped new program having all premiered on July 11th. The new show, Alphas, is a crime procedural, featuring a team of ordinary humans with unusual or bizarre super-abilities. Warehouse 13, which Syfy calls its most successful series ever, started a third season and Eureka returned with its community of super-scientists.

Sony, at number four on our list, continues to recover from the network outage and hacking scandal that sent its Buzz score tumbling during the spring. Sony has apparently bounced back, having won back customers with an identity-theft protection program and a free-games package which it extended through mid-July. Its Buzz score is up to pre-crisis levels, and Tim Schaff, President of Sony Network Entertainment pronounced on July 13th, “network performance is better than ever, sales are better than ever.”

7-Eleven, which appropriately took 7th place, had its Buzz scores increase immediately after their 7/11/11 “Slurpee-brations”. 7-Eleven stores thanked their customers for their patronage and support by offering a free Slurpee in a special birthday cup. 7-Eleven also used its namesake day to kick off its second annual Slurpee® Battle of the Bands (BOTB) contest.

Two beverage brands followed the summer vibes to take places on our top 10. At number 8 was Crystal Light, a low-calorie powdered beverage mix, which kicked off a “Flavor over Fizz Challenge,” encouraging consumers to give up diet soda for Crystal Light over the summer and the brand also released a limited edition line of mocktails. Water-brand Aquafina came in at 10th, perhaps boosted both by the recent heat waves that have stretched over much of the nation and also its sponsorship of another summer tradition—Major League Baseball.
