Amazon is the clear Value improvement leader for big US holiday retail chains this year, as well as achieving the highest overall Value score. No other retailer made it into all three of the Top 5 Value improver lists (men, women and parents).
Value scores for men are showing very little improvement, with only three brands showing higher Value scores versus last year.
Women, on average, register greater value improvements in their Top 5 compared to the other segments. Also unlike other segments, they include two online outlets–Amazon and eBay–in their Top 5 improver list.
For parents, Amazon makes a double digit Value leap while no other Big Holiday retail chain improves over 1.3 points.
The Value improvement scores were collected between September 23rd - November 17th 2011 versus the same period last year.
